Melissa Sampson has nearly 20 years of experience working in the marketing and communications field. She started her journey in marketing communications as a public relations intern, continuing on the public relations side through client engagement and retention, as well as traditional public relations functions in various professional positions. Ms. Sampson made the transition into a marketing and advertising role in 2005, and has experienced professional success combining marketing, communications, and public relations into cohesive and functional strategic integrated marketing plans for over a decade.
Cohesion Communications was built on Ms. Sampson’s experiences with less than effective brand communications; small and mid-sized companies in particular tend to suffer more from sub-par communications functions across the board than their larger counterparts. Personal and anecdotal evidence suggests that the smaller the company, the less focused its leaders are on communications functions to both internal and external clients, and messages tend to get lost in larger organizations. Despite the lack of focus, these smaller companies tend to be the strongest candidates for strongly branded communications plans or platforms.
Ms. Sampson has worked in the multi-family housing industry for nearly 15 years, and she has worked in a variety of asset types, from affordable to conventional to student communities, managing advertising, communications, digital marketing, public relations, branding, and strategic initiatives to establish assets and lease-up properties. Her unique experience in the multi-family industry makes her an industry leader in the marketing space in the Philadelphia market.
Ms. Sampson earned her Bachelors in English from Michigan State University and her Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University. She is a member of the National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI) Faculty.
Ms. Sampson’s experience in all facets of marketing communications gives her a unique perspective from which to study clients’ challenges; her solutions are as innovative as the companies she represents.

Scott D. Sampson has over 25 years of business experience, which includes his current role in the IT field working for a global financial company. His past endeavors include various roles in Human Resources and Retail Management.
Scott’s professional focus includes large scale transformational projects, modern ways of working, start-up environments, and leadership talent attraction.
Scott holds an MBA from UMASS Amherst, MS from Temple University, and a BS from The College at Brockport - State University of New York. He is also Green Belt certified.
